Stevia Stevioside Powder
Stevia Stevioside Powder Manufacturers & Supplier
Kintainutri® is dedicated to supplying high-quality natural extract ingredients to the global food and health industries. Our high-purity steviol glycoside powders are derived from premium Stevia rebaudiana and produced using advanced aqueous extraction and refining processes; we offer total Stevioside Powder contents of 90%, 95%, and 98%, as well as Rebaudioside A at 95% and 97% purity. We ensure batch-to-batch consistency, maintain comprehensive quality control via HPLC, and support global export compliance.
Stevioside powder is approximately 250–450 times as sweet as sucrose; it offers a clean sweetness profile with minimal aftertaste in its pure form and a taste similar to sucrose, though it may exhibit a slight off-flavor at high concentrations. It is stable in acidic and saline solutions and remains relatively stable at room temperature. Highly water-soluble, with a solubility exceeding 40% at room temperature, it is also hygroscopic and rapidly absorbs moisture from the air. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including beverages, baked goods, dairy products, and seasonings.

How To Make Stevia Stevioside Powder?
In this process, dried stevia leaves serve as the raw material; after pulverization, they undergo three-stage counter-current extraction with hot water (50–80°C) to fully dissolve the stevioside. The combined extracts are passed through a macroporous adsorption resin to selectively adsorb and enrich the target component; after washing with water to remove polar impurities (such as sugars), the target is desorbed using food-grade ethanol to yield a high-concentration stevioside solution.
This solution undergoes vacuum concentration for ethanol recovery, followed by crystallization and centrifugation to obtain a crude product. The crude product is decolorized using neutral alumina to remove pigments and polyphenols, further purified via recrystallization, and finally processed by spray drying to yield a white to off-white powdered finished product.
Benefits Of Stevia Stevioside Powder
Stevioside For Hair Growth
Stevioside powder demonstrates unique advantages in promoting hair growth. As a natural amphiphilic molecule, it can self-assemble into micelles in water, effectively solubilizing the poorly water-soluble drug minoxidil and significantly enhancing both its aqueous solubility and skin permeability. Soluble microneedle patches formulated with stevioside enable the precise, minimally invasive delivery of minoxidil to hair follicles, achieving efficient transdermal administration.
A stevioside minoxidil hair regrowth study in animals showed that these patches significantly promoted the transition of hair follicles from the resting phase (telogen) to the growth phase (anagen), effectively improving hair coverage in areas affected by hair loss. Derived from natural sources and supported by a favorable safety profile, including FDA-recognized GRAS status, stevioside offers an innovative and convenient transdermal delivery approach for supporting hair growth in individuals with androgenetic alopecia.
Stevioside Blood Pressure
Stevia extract and its primary constituent, stevioside, have demonstrated clear blood-pressure-lowering potential in multiple studies. In a clinical trial, patients with mild hypertension who took 500 mg of stevioside daily (three times a day for two years) exhibited significantly lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure compared to the placebo group. The underlying mechanisms likely involve vasodilation, increased renal plasma flow, and natriuretic and diuretic effects.
Rebaudioside A has not shown a significant blood-pressure-lowering effect in individuals with normal blood pressure; its antihypertensive impact appears to be primarily manifested in hypertensive states. Stevioside powder serves as a natural sweetener option that offers adjunctive blood-pressure-lowering benefits for the dietary management of hypertension.

Steviol Glycosides In Pregnancy
The application of steviol glycosides during the reproductive stage demonstrates a favorable safety profile and potential benefits. Animal studies indicate that long-term exposure to Rebaudioside A at doses within the safety limits established by EFSA does not adversely affect maternal cardiometabolic health. Instead, it may provide beneficial effects, including reductions in fasting blood glucose, improvements in lipid profiles, and inhibition of cardiac fibrosis, while preserving normal cardiac, myofilament, and mitochondrial function without affecting reproductive parameters.
Furthermore, as a natural amphiphilic molecule, stevioside can self-assemble into micelles, offering a solubilization and delivery solution for poorly soluble drugs and thereby expanding its scope of application in the pharmaceutical and health sectors. These findings provide scientific support for the use of high-purity steviol glycosides in areas such as prenatal nutrition, metabolic health, and functional foods.
What Is Stevia Stevioside Powder Used For?
Stevioside In Toothpaste
The application of stevioside in toothpaste extends beyond its role as a sweetener. Because it is not readily fermented by cariogenic oral bacteria, stevioside does not promote acid production or enamel demineralization, demonstrating strong non-cariogenic properties. Furthermore, it inhibits the formation of dual-species biofilms involving Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans, reduces acid production and extracellular polysaccharide synthesis, and shows greater anti-caries potential than sucrose. Consequently, stevioside powder serves as an attractive natural, non-cariogenic sweetener for children's toothpaste, sugar-free oral care products, and oral care formulations designed for people managing their sugar intake, meeting the growing demand for both clean-label and functional ingredients.

Stevia Powder For Baking
Stevia powder is a high-quality, natural, zero-calorie sweetener that is well suited for baking applications, offering approximately 250–300 times the sweetness of sucrose. Its key components, stevioside and Rebaudioside A, exhibit excellent thermal stability and retain their sweetness during high-temperature baking at temperatures of up to 200°C. When incorporated into baking formulations, stevia powder can contribute to the color, flavor, and mouthfeel of finished products while increasing their polyphenol content and antioxidant capacity, making it suitable for a wide range of healthier baked goods, including cookies and pastries.

Stevia Stevioside Powder Safety
As a high-intensity sweetener of natural origin, steviol glycosides differ fundamentally from synthetic sweeteners such as sucralose and acesulfame potassium. Although studies indicate a favorable safety profile and potential benefits associated with the use of steviol glycosides during the reproductive period, with animal data supporting their safety at the Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) level and showing no adverse cardiometabolic effects, human data on exposure during pregnancy remain limited.
Therefore, caution is warranted when considering their use in foods intended for infants and young children. For foods and beverages intended for adults, however, steviol glycosides remain a natural, low-calorie alternative to conventional sugar and artificial sweeteners.
